Wireless network

Although you can work without it, the advantage of WMS only really emerges when the warehouse is equipped with a wireless network. That way, every action becomes real-time and therefore can immediately be adjusted, based on the new situation.

We will gladly assist you with preparing this infrastructure: from determing the number and the location of the basic posts through a site survey, to delivering and configurating the different parts.

Terminals, scanners and printers

The applications for warehouse management and internal logistics use wireless communication a lot. Therefore, handscanners and truckterminals are often employed for this.

Besides delivering and installing the software applications, we also take care of the following corresponding hardware if required: we supply and configure the used equipment in order to offer you a complete solution.

Finally, you can also contact us for label printers and other peripheral equipment.

Interface with your ERP

Usually, a WMS system is supplied from an ERP or a similar administrative application. That application generates and manages the instructions and the orders.

Through the interface to the WMS, the tasks that have to be performed are forwarded and later, after the realization, the results
of the activities are looped back.

From Optima WMS, we provide this necessary link with your ERP. The data exchange can happen online or in batch. The interface is accustomed to your current system in close consultation with the manager of your system.

Optima WMS is the ideal solution that brings efficiency to your warehouse. Optima WMS is used for simple to very complex warehouses: creating a correct inventory, integrating a barcode or an entire automation on the floor, regardless of the extent of your issue, Optima WMS gives you the answer. And because of its scalability, you can even start easily and switch in phases to a more advanced operation afterwards.

That is why a lot of attention was given to the design of the user interface: well-organized and especially unambiguous screens, intuitive and provided with clear instructions. After all, your warehouse operator is no IT specialist! Although advanced software is used in the background, this is translated to easy-to-use applications. We think that your employee should be able to perform his task independently and without assistance.

	In its simplest form, Optima WMS provides you with a correct and up-to-date inventory. With this, every increase or decline on a location is registered by means of wireless communication and barcode. Since these registrations are performed real-time, the exact stock is known per location at any time, so that it is no longer needed to take it in periodically.

	Providing you with real-time order processing, is slightly more complex. In this, the performing of orders and deliveries is also integrated in Optima WMS. Via his terminal, every user gets the tasks that are to be performed, which he then confirms via barcode scanning. This guarantees a correct realization. By eliminating paper and providing real-time communication, registering defects gets a lot easier: the user can directly correct the abnormalities, that are found on location, through his appliance. Moreover, every action is registered in the central database, which makes it also traceable afterwards.

Realisations with
Optima WMS

DC Sinelco International

From the European DC of Sinelco International in Ronse, goods are delivered in four different packaging variations: from the automatical high-rise warehouse, pallet loads and box packages are delivered, the low-rise one delivers collect packages and picks pieces. The high-rise organises the replenishment of the low-rise as well. Optima WMS controls all the movements in the DC: from the automatical cranes, the mobile transports on the shop floor, the picking in the low-rise, consolidation...

Production warehouse Ceres Brussel

Ceres Brussel is the largest flour factory in Belgium and delivers bakery products to around 65% of all the bakeries in Belgium. The entire operation of these milleries (Siemens PCS7) was automated by Dastronic. After the dosing and blending, the produced flour is packed in bags, palletized and sent to the warehouse. That is where Optima WMS takes over: for the incoming pallets, the most favourable place in the warehouse is searched automatically. The truck driver automatically gets the order on his terminal and takes the pallet to the suggested location. From the ERP, Optima WMS also receives the instructions that have to be performed, which are then collected and sent to dispatch.

Stock AJK Tank trucks

AJK constructs container trucks, tank trucks, semi-trailers, lift systems for trucks and numbers of other applications. For its production, AJK has an extensive component warehouse. In order to manage the orders for this warehouse and to keep the correct stock, Optima WMS was mobilized...
